Ways To Give
Every gift feeds the farm, stocks the pantry, sends a kid to camp. Pick the path that fits.
Public school dollars cover salaries, basic operations, and the building. They do not cover the farm program, the pantry, the camping trips, or the hundreds of small things that make 243 work in practice. 243 is the Roots method. It stands for We Love You. Private giving is what funds the doing.

The Roots pantry serves students and families who need a meal during the week or food to take home. Donations of any of these help.
Shelf-stable meals, snacks, peanut butter, cereal, bottled water, juice boxes.
Deodorant, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, razors, and period products.
Sweatshirts, sweatpants, coats, jeans, and closed-toe shoes.
Dropping off items? Mon–Fri, 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the front office. Email office@rootshigh.org for a large delivery.

Before you give, walk the building. Sixty minutes, student-led, on a regular school day. Ask anything. We answer plainly.
Outside hands keep the farm strong. Tell us how you’d like to help. Every interest form gets read and a real person follows up.
Long-term · Weekend animal care
Animals don’t take weekends off. Trained volunteers cover Saturday and Sunday shifts. Work includes feeding, watering, cleaning, basic health checks, and general farm maintenance.
Right fit if: you can commit to a recurring weekend shift, you show up when you say you will, and you’re comfortable around large animals.
One-time · Group volunteer day
Bring your team to the farm for a day of real work that supports a real school. Corporate teams, civic clubs, and faith groups have built fence, harvested flower beds, and stocked the pantry.
Right fit if: ten to thirty people, half a day, and your group is excited to support a school worth supporting.
Both interest forms route to farm@rootshigh.org. Staff reach out within a week to confirm fit.

Bring ten to thirty people for a half-day on the farm. Tell us about your group and the farm team reaches out to find a date that works.
