Tour the School
Sixty minutes. Student-led.
A current student walks you through it. Admin and staff greet you at the end to answer questions. A regular school day, not a staged one. Pick a slot below.
Tours are for.
- Families considering Roots for a student. See the school through the eyes of a student who already learns here. Bring your student. Most of them know within an hour whether this is where they want to spend high school.
- Donors, partners, press, and community members. Walk the building before you decide what to give, partner on, or write about. Classrooms mid-lesson, students doing the work, plain answers from the people running it. You leave with what you came to see.
How a tour runs.
A current student leads the tour. You'll see classrooms mid-lesson, the hallways between bells, and the farm. Imagine chickens at egg collection, student discussions, and hallway interactions. At the end, the director or a staff member sits down with you to answer anything left on your mind.
243 is the method behind every intentional interaction. You will see it in the classroom, in the hallways, and on the farm.
Bring questions.
What we hear most from prospective families:
- How do you handle a student who is behind on credits?
- What does a hard day actually look like at Roots?
- How does the farm tie into academic credit?
- Is my student going to fit in here?

By Governing Board invitation
Quarterly board-hosted visits.
A few times a year, the Governing Board hosts a specialized experience for key relationships. These are by invitation only, coordinated through a board member.
If you would like to be considered, write to board@rootshigh.org. Otherwise the standard tour is the same school, the same students, the same answers. Book any open slot.
